It is finished.

3 things. 

  1. I forgot to check on the mouse trap stuff and if I had actually killed the thing days ago. Turns out... it died, but not from the mousetrap. 
  2. It turned out to be a shrew. [Warning: this link & subsequent pictures may offend / disturb / traumatize you. If you're not comfortable with seeing a small deceased creature, don't click the link.]
  3. Shrews look a little silly.
